We did it!! Monty Mothman has officially reached his funding goal—with 10 days to spare! I can’t thank you all enough for believing in this project and bringing Monty to life. Your support, enthusiasm, and love have truly made this possible!

Meet Oswin Owlbear, the fluffy and courageous fella. While mighty in my mind, I can't quite pin which design I like most, so I need your help again! I've designed four Owlbear variations inspired by a Grizzly/Great Owl combination, and I can’t decide which one to move forward with. So, I’m asking you - which is your favorite?

🔎 Color Close-Up: While I won’t reveal all of the plush designs for Fabled Friends just yet, I can share that another design in the series will feature warmer orange/brown tones - which is why these Owlbears lean more towards the red-brown spectrum.

That’s the current target, but I’m actively working with our manufacturer to see if we can lower production costs and unlock more moths sooner. Fingers crossed - The new information should be coming in the next few days, so I’ll update you as soon as I know more!

Hey Wild Ones!

A few exciting updates for you today - including a poll I can’t wait for you to take part in!


🕯️ Monty Mothman 🕯️

We’re just a few plushies away from being fully funded - how exciting! Your love and support for this project keep the fire burning. 🔥

I wanted to also say that I know some of you are a bit concerned about possibly receiving multiple Monty Mothmans. Good news: I’ve just started a conversation with our wonderful manufacturing partner to explore MOQs ( Minimum Order Quantities ) and see how many moths we can unlock!

If you're new to plush-making ( or just curious! ), 500 is typically the base MOQ for stuffed toys, especially when using eco-friendly materials like we do. Actually, sometimes it can be as high as 1,200 for eco-friendly materials! 👀 But if all goes well in discussions, we may be able to unlock Laisy right after Monty! Stay tuned, I should have an update early this coming week. 🤞

I might be jumping the gun a little, but I can’t help it - my mind is always buzzing with ideas! I even have three separate journals for different creative themes ( Plushpanions included! ) so I don’t lose any ideas before they take shape.

Now, let’s talk about Series 3—a fantasy RPG adventure! Picture a mage dragon, barbarian owlbear, and ranger gryphon setting off on a grand quest. This series is packed with fun features, including:

Unlock accessories between plush goals, like a backpack or a set of potions.

Just a few updates about the project and a small, but extremely important, update to the Previous Backer Kidd Krampus pin!

As of today, we are 88% funded, we keep getting closer to that goal! Thank you to everyone who has pledged and shared thus far, with you're help, you're making Monty happen! 🙌




🐐 Previous Backer Pin 🐐

A small update has been implemented into the Kidd Krampus pin, for both the silver and gold version... Krampus' tongue has just been added! This is a small but vital detail that leaves no question about who is on your pin.




 📍 Free Pins 📍

The opportunity to get a free Early Bird golden Mothman pin has passed, but there is still the opportunity to grab the silver Mothman pin, as an Add-On! If you backed Kidd Krampus previously, you also still have the opportunity to get your free golden Krampus pin, or add a silver Krampus pin to your pledge.


🔎 Add-On Close Ups 🔎

Here's a close up of your sticker options for your pledges, don't forget that "Choose-A-Sticker" includes one PVC-free sticker of your choice, so if you like more than one design, add a few to your pledge! Editing pledges is as easy as going to your account to the upper right, going to "Your Pledges and Surveys" and editing your pledge from there.




Previously a campaign was accidentally sent to all followers who had not yet backed the Monty Mothman plush, but this update is being sent to all followers, so I have some information that will be repeated here! 


That previous update included another close up, but of the postcard kit, including 10 postcard designs and 24 stamp-style stickers! Can you spot all of the references in the postcards? 👀







❔ New FAQ ❔

I've had some inquiries about Digital pledge tiers, and I wanted to shed some light on the details.

✨ Physical Pledges: These include items that are mailed to you. If there's no mention of an item included, then it is a usually digital tier. Incentive Pins ( Early Bird, Previous Backer, and Cross-Collab ) only register if you pledge to a physical tier.

✨Digital Pledges: These are usually $1 - $5 pledges that sometimes come with digital thank-you cards. These tiers are usually to say "You got this, I believe in you and your campaign!", then these pledgers share their successful pledge to social media to get the word out. It's a fantastic way to support a project, but it doesn't qualify you for free pins.

✨ Adding Add-Ons - Sometimes Yes, Sometimes No: Here's the tricky part. Every campaign has the option to 1. Turn off being able to add Add-Ons to Digital Pledges, and 2. Select which pledges can have the ability to add which specific Add-Ons. For example, for the $3 Support Pledge, I could turn off every add-on possibility, except for let's say, a silver Mothman pin, it's just up to the creator. 

To be clear, every pledge tier of mine has the ability to add any add-ons they like, except for the Brick-and-Mortar Wholesale tier.

In summary, you can pledge to the $3 Digital Support Tier, and add any add-ons that you like, but it will still count as a "Digital Pledge" excluding your pledge as counting towards Free Pin Incentives. This may change on BackerKit in the future, but for now, this is the case.

I'm here to share the Day 1 Recap of Monty Mothman and also to share some new Add-Ons that have been, well... added! 👀 



🦋 Monty Mothman: Day One 🕯️

As of this update we are 55% funded - just from day one! 🎉 Thank you all for such an amazing launch, let's keep the momentum going. We've almost unlocked Monty and, if this pledging average continues, we will unlock Laisy Luna moth in no time!




📍 Free Pins 📍

There are just 24 hours left to get your Early Bird and Previous Backer Golden Stamp-Style pins! This is the ONLY WAY to get golden pins, there are no Add-Ons for golden pins. So if you don't want to miss out on your freebie, pledge here ASAP! 


With that said, I have added a few new Add-Ons for newcomers to the Plushpanion world...



🐐 New Add-Ons 🐐 

I received a fantastic question within the comments of the Launching in 15 Hours Update, where it was asked if the Golden Krampus pin and Krampus plush were available to Add-On to a Mothman pledge. While I cannot add a free incentive pin as a purchasable Add-On, I can absolutely create a Silver version ( just like the Monty pin ) to our available Add-Ons.

I have also added a Kidd Krampus plush as available Add-Ons for your pledge. These are full price, because early pricing is held for initial Backers, but you do save on shipping by bundling the Krampus plush with your pledge items, rather than purchasing separately on my website.



Already pledged but want to add Krampus items? You can edit your pledge to add any new Add-Ons that you like! 


Here's a "How To" on editing pledges...

    1. Go to your BackerKit profile image in the upper right corner, and select "Your Pledges and Surveys".
    2. Find the "Monty Mothman" campaign and click on "View Pledge", all the way to the right.
    3. Select "Edit Pledge", and this should take you to a section where you can add new Add-Ons to your pledge!
